Our sweet, old (and since recently) Great-Grandmother Jessye, is now 16 years old!!

She is always happy to join us on our walks, but she has become rather slow. Nevertheless, I do an extra walk, so that she also can "smell the roses"! I am so glad that we still have her. She is a treasure.

Today, we are celebrating the 14th birthday of our Queen Mum! Although she suffers from the typical age-related ailments (her sight and hearing abilities are weaker, and she has Arthritis), she is still very much enjoying life. She loves to go for her daily walks, although it lasts longer and we must wait several minutes for her to catch up... !

Jessye is our first Bearded Collie and as foundation bitch for "Full of the Dickens", was the Mama for our "A" und "B" litters.

We drink to your health, my sweet princess, and we wish you a long, good time with us to come!! You're the best....

Summer (June) 2008

Jessye is now 13 and a half years old.. Here are photos of our "Grand Dame"...

20.12.2009 .......Happy Birthday, Jessye, our sweet, old Mommy!

Jessye is still a very happy "old Lady" in our midst. We are so thankful for her happy disposition and are always grateful, that she is still with us.

One year has now past since Jessye's last report...

Jessye caused us much concern, since her last Birthday.

First, in January her nose started bleeding and didn't stop. We, of course, were prepared for the worst...  Xrays even showed shadows in her nose......but after the treatment - and until now - there hasn't been another outbreak of nosebleeding.

Then, in February, she got her season - which she hadn't had for 2 years.  She nearly died because of the loss of blood. Therefore, we had to castrate her.....

Since then  spring, summer and fall are over and now we are in the depths of winter....and she is fantastic!

We believe, that if she goes on like this, she will see her 16th birthday in the best of health!!

...and now, photos from her birthday in December,2009

She plods happily through the snow-white woods. Although, with new snow, she must wear her Beardie-Boots!
